Rhymes of the Church

Supremacy and power,
limits a limitless world,
making it's challengers cower,
having peoples minds whirled,
to believe or to not,
theories of the new,
the scientific plot,
like us around the sun, instead of it around you.

    Since I'm not convinced the world doesn't revolve around me, I struggle to understand this poem.
