I gaze in awe at the wonder of Brunelleschi, yet what's the fun in seeing it finished, I go back farther to one year before the Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore was finished, 1435. If I go back to 1435 I can watch as Brunelleschi lays one of the bricks on the partially complete dome, despite the doubtful clamor of his workers, and as always, proves his superiority to them, further enforcing the power of the Medici name.

If it was painted, and didn't smell like mud, I would stay. After being dazzled, I've now seen yet another Florentine wonder. I wish for action after this long break, so does the horror of the cynical Savonarola, the patronizer of all religious acts, sound decent to you?
Savonarola, around 1492, is damning Lorenzo as I watch from a window, banning his rite from heaven. He looks maniacally around the corner, for Lorenzo was a foe he had just slain, Lorenzo's eyes panic. He is going to start the Bonfires of Vanities soon, destroying the Medici creativity.
The famed Medici artist Michelangelo burns his paintings of nudity in the Bonfire of Vanities, in fear of a deadly feud, as Savonarola burns Italy back years. He burns books, make-up, jewelry, clothes, wigs, art, and jewelry. The lack of mirth made some shudder.

Making you too sad or mad, how about a happier time, when Giovanni bought his way into pope? I warp to when Giovanni, Pope Leo X was dead and his sagacious cousin was Pope.
As he dies, a new Medici pope will victor and carry his legacy. His cousin, Giulio would become pope. He would become Pope Clement VII. It took him 2 years to be elected, but he was the new Pope, and I'll be his little stalker along the way.
Pope Clement VII was innovating, and just like other Medici, he hoarded all the talent he could get, just as all the other Medici. He had (forced) Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel with The Last
Judgement. He also had him (made him) sculpt the Medici tombs, after
all, they had raised him after Lorenzo established the first art school
in Florence. After of which this event, I shall show you.
In fear of freedom of the people, the church hires Braggatoni (Large Underpants Man) to cover the privates in Michelangelo's The Last Judgement in the Sistine Chapel. The Sistine Chapel now was back to faithfulness, as the Medici still live on, for they've had power too long to die to the hands of the Church, after being proven wrong by so many scientists, in so many theories, such as Galileo.

This is not the end of the Medici wonders, for moar of der infamation, click on da linkz! (I briefly checked all, they should be safe)
